Default I really need help

I want to get my site on the search engines and need to get this mod working. What can I do to help you help me. Do you want any sourcecode posted? You can check my hosting capabilities by visiting www.canadaboatshopper.com/info.php It might mean more to you than me, but they assure me that mod rewrite is online.

Default seo problems continue

I have activated the seo mod and the site, is this time still working, i did look in there with text editor before and assumed that what ever was in it was hidden or something as i have never seen a htaccess file before

the file extensions change to /2/12 etc instead of =34.php etc
(These are made up numbers based on what i see not actuals)

is that right to confirm its oing what it should be

For the categories what it does is take the parent category then the sub category. For example:
categories/9/25.html
which would be:
9= "Categories" - Your top category
25 = "Bicycles" - The sub category.

Both of these are the unique id's for the category. That way you can have two categories with the same name.
