Post Modification: Stop Incomplete Listings!

THE PROBLEM: Customers often abandon their listing during the checkout process, and have no way to come back later and complete it. Few go through the hassle of starting over. This results in lost revenue for you.

THE SOLUTION: The Stop Incomplete Listings! module gives customers a way to return and complete their incomplete listings! A friendly reminder email is sent to them 30 minutes (configurable) after they leave their listing incomplete. A link inside the email allows them to return directly to the checkout process and complete their listing. This module also tracks how many reminder emails are sent, and how many reminders result in successful listings! (conversion tracking)

The email can be easily edited from within the 68Classifieds administration panel and even allows variable substitution for the user's name, user ID, listing title, etc. The amount of time before a reminder is sent is also configurable, and there is an option to blind copy (BCC) an Administrator.

We use this module ourselves and have seen close to a 50% conversion rate (customers who had abandoned a listing without paying for it, coming back and paying after getting the email reminder from this module).

I'm not able to match up your forum username with any of our customers garysr, so I'm not sure which module you purchased. And we've never sold anything like this before - we have published a free module that works with this new one, but we've never sold anything before that does what this module does.

Our 68Classifieds modules are located here, as well as in my signature - let me know which one you're referring to and I'll detail the differences.

oops, I think it may have been the scam filter I purchased. I'm sure it's a good mod but I guess I better pass on it for now, as I keep spending to much on mods.
Thanks civ

Ah ok - yes I believe you did purchase that one Gary.

As for this mod, in our experience it will definitely pay for itself if you charge for listings. On our classifieds site, close to 50% of those who abandon their listings are coming back and paying for them after receiving the reminder email from this module.

Default Paying for incomplete listings

With this module... can a user go back and complete the payment process...

We have users going through until the paypal page...and then abandonning it for whatever reason....

and cannot get back to pay for it unless they go to paypal directly

will this solve it..and is there a way to test?
