Modification: Civs Similar Listings keeps visitors longer

Compatible with both Designer & Developer Editions of 68Classifieds.

This module integrates with the listing view to display a configurable number of similar listings based on the category of the listing currently being viewed. The number of items shown (both a minimum and a maximum) is configurable via your 68C AdminCP. It also displays their thumbnails.

Just an observation but can I say how well your site is put together, it looks very professional, is very clean and easy to navigate. The mod packages are real neat as well.

Just set up your mod and it works and looks great. Question, would it be possible to link this to searchresults? If a customer searches for a 1980 Honda Civic and nothing turns up it would be nice if your Similar Listings box appeared displaying any or all other Honda listings. If you have any ideas on this please let me know.

CIV - you mentioned 'category'. Does it also display a configurable number of similar listings based on the category OR subcategory of the listing?

Chaslie, for purposes of this module I use category and subcategory interchangably - similar listings will be pulled from the same category or subcategory of the listing currently being viewed.

.... so just to confirm that, if I have a 'category' of 'Accommodation' with sub cats of 'Apartments and Cottages', 'Bed and Breakfast', 'Holiday Parks', etc and if a user chose to look at a 'viewlisting' which is located within the subcat of 'Bed & Breakfast', they would see other 'Bed & Breakfast' ONLY entries?

... would it be possible to link this to searchresults?
