How to allow multiple users with same email

What version of 68 Classifieds are you running?
Example: V4.1.6 Designer

What template are you using?


Please describe in detail the issue you are having:

I'm using 4.1.10 with DeepSea template and would like to know how to allow multi registerations with the same email address. I have found that I can track and maintain my affiliate links and banners much better if I simply create an account for that affilate but of course need to use the same email for registratioin purposes.

Sorry if this has been covered in DOC or on the forum but didn't find it.

Im not sure if it will work but you could try manually creating their accounts in admin. Keep in mind this will likely have a negative effect on any password recovery features etc of the site.

Tried that first and it requires an email there too. When I put in mine I get the error already in use. I thought about creating those accounts with bogus emails but that would create a lot of unwanted use on the server with mail delivery failure responses for the renewals emails. And to shut that off where no renewals are allowed would effect all users. So really need to be able to have admin the ability to create and approve users without emails or using same one.

You would have to alter the core files to remove that check so that would require the developer version..
