Default Paypal issue

What version of 68 Classifieds are you running?
V4.1.6 Designer

What template are you using?
default 3 col

Please describe in detail the issue you are having:
I am testing out my site and as I go through the check out process using paypal (my only option) I get this error message:
This recipient either does not accept payments denominated in US or has specified an invalid currency code on his web site. Please contact the seller and ask him either to update his payment receiving preferences to accept this currency or to correct his web site to specify a valid currency code.

I have dug around the forums and am on paypal's site but cannot find out where to fix this message.

And what currency code have you specified (USD?). And have you set your paypal up to accept multiple currencies?

That worked thanks. Now I get a message:

The seller accepts encrypted website payments only. You cannot pay the seller through un-encrypted buttons. Please contact your seller for more details.

I have searched the forums for: encryption, encrypted, encrypted web site payments, and did not get any results.

I think this is a paypal issue (misconfigured account) and you need to look at their documentation. Normally you should be using IPN with paypal. You enter your email details and currency into your 68C admin control panel and that is all. There is not much to go wrong unless your paypal account is not set up correctly.

Default Figured it out

OK I finally got it after spending about an hour messing with my paypal account. Just in case any of you run across my problem here is how I fixed it.

-Log into your Pay Pal account.
-Go to your profile
-Under Selling preferences click "website payment preferences". Here you will find all the options to make changes to how you receive payments.
-Under "Encrypted Website Payments" You can block or unblock Non-encrypted Website payments. I had mine turned on. Since I do not know how to encrypt the Paypal button on my site this options will remain off until I can figure that out.

Now when I click on "continue" on my website, it takes me to my own paypal log in to complete the transaction.

whew, finally!
