Default New listings on homepage

What version of 68 Classifieds are you running?
Example: V4.1.6 Developer

Please describe in detail the issue you are having:
Hi everyone!
I've been searching for an answer to make a little change in my site's homepage. Seems like I found the solution in this post by Lhotch: New listings on homepage with photos but have a newer version of the script and I cannot change the code near line 57 since it's not the same.
Please help!

Why are you trying to change the code near line 57?

You position the plugin for newest listings in the position on the home.tpl file where you wish it to appear. Its straightforward .

What are you actually trying to do? Are you trying to get a horizontal set of adverts with the thumbs displayed or just a list ... ?

1. What template are you using?

2. If you are on a custom/default template and just want a list, you can use the existing plugin - function.new_listings.php . Otherwise you will need to modify the featured listings plugin as described in various posts. You then call that plugin in the conventional way from your home.tpl file. Just like the default home.tpl file already does for the featured listings. I don't use it often but I think the line to consider is

$featured = 'Y';

If set to 'N' I think it displays just the latest listings.

3. If you are using templatecodes then it is very easy as the plugin has been done for you. You just place this line of code below in your home.tpl file. In fact you can set this plugin to create many types of horizontal listings (e.g. new, featured, most popular, category specific and combinations of these).

{css_listings_horizontal number=5 type="new"}

Hi,

I tried this myself and it looks really good. But, why are the images not keeping the same distance between each other? Is this an easy fix? I donīt wont to shorten the character limit too much.

Regards!
