Admin Access:

After editing the Home page through the admin area, I received a cache error from web site admin.
While trying to retrieve the URL: http://www.68classifieds.com/68downloads/version.php
The following error was encountered:
• Unable to forward this request at this time.
This request could not be forwarded to the origin server or to any parent caches. The most likely cause for this error is that:
• The cache administrator does not allow this cache to make direct connections to origin servers, and
• All configured parent caches are currently unreachable.


When i now access the admin area it is very slow and through the website looking at the ads they don't want to load. or google maps timeout.
Will sign on but won't load admin and pages very slow to load.

It sounds like your host may have a firewall blocking out bound connections. The file on our server is used to check the latest version and see if you need to upgrade.

It now appears to be working ok.
Never had that problem before only after editing the home page.
When eventually got back into admin resaved the home page and now is loading the admin area at a normal speed and have access with no time outs.
The only thing i also dissabled google maps.

I doubt very much whether google maps would have been an issue. I had this issue a long time ago when our hosting provider was upgrading their server. It went away within an hour or two.

FYI, google maps doesnt load anything when in admin at all with the exception of when you are in the modules admin.

The maps timing out was likely the same reason for the cache errors and thats because pages on your server were requesting info from other servers and they couldnt get it (ie 68C license server and google for map data).
