Error when installing 68c

Hi,
I am trying to install 68c v4.09 on a my pc using wamp. On the last setup page, where it tells you to delete the setup directory i got the following error on the top

Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in C:\wamp\www\setup\includes\step6.php on line 20

Then if i go to the site (http://localhost/ ) i get the following errors

Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in C:\wamp\www\includes\init.php on line 92

Deprecated: Function set_magic_quotes_runtime() is deprecated in C:\wamp\www\includes\init.php on line 225

and if i try and go into administration i get a blank screen.
I have the exact same thing setup on my laptop but it uses a older version on wamp.
This version is using php 5.3.0, i have re-downloaded, made a new database and still has the same problem.
Any ideas?

I believe these are due to php 5.3 I have seen a few issues popup in regards to it.

At this time I do not have a fix but I will try and look into it for the next release. In the mean time you can try this.

Delete the call to set_magic_quotes_runtime in init.php

The pass by reference is probably with the db. Look for $db = &new. Remove the ampersand.
