Default Skip posting photos step

Hi everyone

Just curious to see if there is a simple way to change the checkout step3.tpl code to completely skip 'posting photos' step.

I made it jump to step 6 on submit, but then it does not remember any of the info when it gets to 'confirm your listing'.

Is there a simple code change out there that can do this?

Thanks as always
Todd

PS I have thought about not allowing photos to categories in listings, but then it takes out all the photos, even the ones admin put up.

Why would you have a package that doesnt allow photos but then place ads with photos?

Default great question

Hey Larry,

I am simply trying to rig the site to take 'orders' for buying off the listnigs. THere are fields for payment detials, I am just trying to make the 'add a listing feater' into a buying feature, that only goes the admin.

So, I don't want them to be able to post photos.

I am making registered users post an ad (actually and order for a prodcut) but it still asks them to post a photo.

Hope that makes sense
Todd

Maybe I'm just being thick, but I'm still not following you here. I'm not following the logic nor understand what the final goal is.

Also, please include your 68 version & type as well as the template that you are using. Putting this in your signature ensures that all of your posts will include that information, making it much easier for others in their attempts to assist you.

Hi Mike,

using version 4 Designer.

OK, I am the admin, and am going to put up 30 listed products.

I want webvisitors to come on the site, and place orders for these products. So instead of placing a 'listing' or 'ad' on the site, they are actually ordinging one of those 30 products. (I have stripped out the 'add description' and 'add title') and have put in extra fields.

Their 'add new listing' will never go live on the site..... it is just read by me, the admin, through the back end system, and that's it.

I am just trying to get around step 4 - adding images. I don't want them to be able to add an image as I am using this to 'place an order'

Hope you understand that one.

I am really tweaking the heck out of 68 classifieds to get this to work

Cheers

Your going to have to look at the variables being collected and passed in the step you want to take out and add them into the step before the one you are pulling out.

You certainly are. With so many quality free cart type applications out there I cant help but wonder why you chose to use 68C for something outside its intended purpose as opposed to using some thing geared toward what you are looking to accomplish.
