Default cannot change template via administrator page

Hi, I just upgraded to the latest version , but when I try to change templates via the administration page, the template I choose does not take effect. In a few instances, I have selected let's say 68Green template and after submitting it, the site shows me a drop down box to choose the template from! Sometimes if I choose a template from that drop down, then it takes effect and the drop down disappears from the page. My custom template never gets set. And I cannot seem to be able to change the 68 Classifieds header to my own, even when in the settings page, I have different information. Can someone help please?
Thanks and regards,
Pedro

Did you purchase a template? I'm asking because there is no 68green template that comes with 68c version 4? Yet, this is posted in the version 4 forum.

You made a custom template? How did you do this? Did you copy an existing template and if you did, which one? Did you copy the entire template folder? Did you just create one from scratch?

First thing that I would recommend is that you clear your templates_c directory and see if that resolves the issue.

Did you ever use the purple template? If you did, did you change the template from the purple template in the pull down menu outside of the admin? If so, you need to delete the "template" cookie that it creates in your browser which overrides any other template setting. It will be listed in your cookies by yourclassifieddomainname and called "template".
