Some questions on the upgrade to version 4

Many thanks on a truly professional product. I bought version 3.1.5b a couple of weeks back and have been going through the learning curve quite nicely. What I want to know is;

1. Will the upgrade to version 4 preserve my categories, fields, coupons etc?
   
2. Will changes to my current template remain intact?
   
3. Would it be better not to develop my site and simply wait for version 4?

My site is not live and so changes will not affect any member base but I just don't want to waste time kicking my heels waiting for the new version (which by the way has some awesome features).

Your advice please.

Yes it will.

You will probably have to redo your template changes. Although a lot has remained the same a lot of small items have changed in the templates.

Would it be better not to develop my site and simply wait for version 4?

I would this is a decision for you to make. You can download and start working with beta v4 now which you then wouldn't have to recreate everything. But by going this route you might find a bug that takes a little time to get fixed.
