I have just finished with the styling and navigation layout for www.cafeclassifieds.com
What do you guys think? I'm particularly interested in feedback on how I organised the navigation.

Gear,

I really like the overall look and feel. The icons for your categories are great! The only thing I don't like is the fact that the pages are soooo wide and coupled with the content set to right alignment, you need to horizontal scroll to see the content. Typically, horizontal scrolling is not a good thing and will readily aggrevate people.

I don't understand what you mean. It is a 770px wide site which should fit inside 800x600 resolution on any browser. Anyone using a resolution less than that is quite used to scrolling sideways.

What browser are you using? I tested it on IE6 firefox2 and Opera9

I went to browsercam.com where you can get screen captures of your site from various OS's and browsers. All seem fine except older Nescape browsers seem to be missing most of the css information other than color. This must be what you were talking about.

I wonder if there is any tool that can analyze css to show and help correct errors so that older browsers display properly.

Very clean and a profesional presentation. Well done.

Who developed your logo? It's excellent.

The name of the site is also excellent.

I'm using a Mac with Mac OS X 10.4.9. In both the Safari browser (default for OS X) v2.0.4 AND Firefox v2.0.0.3 for Mac the pages render at 1275 pixels wide. It does the same thing in the no longer developed Internet Explorer for Mac 5.2.3 & Camino. It does render correctly in Omniweb and Opera though.

I made it. I mess about in photoshop as a hobby.

Ah, I just noticed your username. That is one setup I didn't check. It appears like the body is getting hung up on the logo by one pixel.

I reworked the entire nav section. I found a setup that seems to please the most browsers... although it took away the top border on the menu tabs in IE for some reason and I cant figure out why.
