Using your own php.ini file will override your hosts setting defined within it. This will have no bearing on php scripts that dont use iocube.

So basically, if the host has a line in the global php.ini file that addresses ioncube, then I'm overriding that and nothing else.

Well, my host has acquiesced and said that once I upload the script, they'll enable ionCube support for my account/the script.

So, I guess I'll need to back-out the additions I made.

Default Did you...

Did you put the "zend_extension =" in as well, or just "/home/[user]/ioncube_loader_lin_4.3.so"?

Actually, no, I didn't put the "zend_extension =" in there. Not sure why, but just going back and looking now, it's not there.

They can goto ioncubes website for specific directions. if you download the full install of 68C it has a folder in it called ioncube with the loaders needed for the scripts.

All you need to do is create a file, in the same folder you have 68C installed and put the following line in it, making changes to the line so it matches your particular server environment.

zend_extension = "/pathtoloader/ioncube_loader_win_5.1.dll"

and save the file as php.ini
