Default check out this classified, some good implementation ideas.

phing.com

It's a new classifieds and I think the software is developed inhouse.

The design is refreshing.

The thumbnails on the index page make the site inviting.

I especially like the left menu column. It's a good implementation of category navigation.

Sub categories menu is displayed when you enter a category.

They also have tags implementation.

It may have some nice features but its barely above craigslist in terms of looks. I wouldnt use it myself. The word Fugly comes to mind.

I like Craigslist too. The beauty of Craigslist is it's plain no graphics look. On the other hand, Criagslist's clones and scripts are aplenty online, how many is successful?

http://www.OLX.com and http://www.Kijiji.com have some good usability and navigation ideas for us to learn too.

If we are open minded, every successful classifieds have some implementation and design ideas for us to learn.

Sometimes the scripts need to designed almost from the ground up with certain features in mind because adding them after the fact is extremely complicated. Thats also one of the reasons why you dont see every feature under the son in every classified software, some features design strategies are diametrically opposed to other feathure deasign strategies.

Its easy to sit back and say "I want classified software to do this", its a totally different thing to create the scripts to do it.

Thats the beauty of 68C, you can buy the developer version and code to your hearts content to create the final product to fit your needs.

Hi,
The first one produces http://everythingsfree.org/image//images/245843css.jpg but even if you got it to work for the whole cell only a small section would highlight anyway like the seconds lot of code.

The second one shows up like this http://everythingsfree.org/image//im...hightlight.jpg because the whole row isnt one cell and also as soon as it hovers over a highlighted cell it removes it even when removed.
