Hi,
How can i convert =TODAY() to text? eg 10-08-2008? My code to save as field name needs it without /. Also excel cant format it into a date so it may need to have ' infront of it. Cheers, Nick

Have you tried using the help that Excel has built in?
First off, Excel doesn't store dates as you see them, it stores them as decimals. Second you can change any number to text simply with the TEXT(cellreference). Third if you want to display the date differently, then just use the "custom" format for the date as you would like it. All of this and a plethora of more information is available with an easy find in Excel's built in help. Just like the answer to your first Excel project post. This should be your first source of information, especially as this is school work where you are supposed to be learning. I find it odd that you are posting in 68 Classifieds forum for others to do your Excel school project. -Mike

OK thanks for that. This is extra to my excel assignment, my teacher has already told me i will not be getting any extra marks for this. it is purely for my learning. Its looking too hard considering i dont need it so im not going to worry about it.
