It would be great to have a filter module that acts like the extended search but in real time.

For example you browse through the categories and have always a box on the left that lets you filter the ads by extra fields (the same extra fields that are used for the categories).

I think it's better to understand when you see it. Here is an example of what I mean:

MediaBids - Cookie Message

It's a very comfortable function. I don't have enough experience with all the php and java stuff. Does anyone feel capable to do this mod?

The location filter module does not quite do this but it will allow filtering on a single extra-field that you have defined, or a location for example.

Well it does not do this and we are not likely to do it as it as products need to have a significant market to make it worthwhile.
