Default <br /> equivelent causing me problems - Maffo search mod

Hi,
I am using Maffo's Search Module and are having problems.
The search forum looks like this when the page is loaded:
http://everythingsfree.org/image//images/130012good.jpg
But once a main category is picked it changes to this:
http://everythingsfree.org/image//images/729085prob.jpg
as you can see there is a <br> or equivelent inserted.
I am searching though the module code but cant find any <br or <p which are as far as i know all that can cause it. I beleive it has something to do with extra fields.

My question is what code can cause the equivelent to a <br /> or <br> ? it has to be pulling the code somewhere from the modules code and it seems to be a break because you can highlight it.

NOTE: it only happens in Internet Explorer which made me think it could have been <p> but none can be found.

Any ideas?
Cheers

This is a common problem with IE. It struggles to hide 'hidden' divs.

I have had this problem countlessly with IE, theres nothing I know of that can fix this. The hidden div needs to be there for the AJAX functionality.
